what is technical theatre?
-
Technical theatre includes lights, sound, sets, costumes, props, video projections, stage management, stage crew, design, etc.
-
Basically, technical theatre is all the stuff that happens backstage and all the design and technical elements that go into producing a play.
-
If you do technical theatre, you will be backstage or in a tech booth (where lights, sound, and video projections are run) during performances.
-
Being a part of the tech team at PHS means that you will help build and paint sets as well as doing your assigned tech job.
-
No experience? No problem! This is educational theatre and we’ll teach you how to do your job.
